That is a nice boot I may order one my self:thumb3:

My OEM boot is mint and did come new from Toyota. I bought it and the shift surround NOS in Toyota packaging....Thanks Ebay:D

The boot is discontinued now but the shift surround/console is still on the available parts list ($145) last time I checked.

I want a stock 1st gen gray leather wraped steering wheel it is the next thing on my list of must haves:trophy:

I can't stop moding and looking for stuff for my t4r I am a little nutty about it....I think I drove my S2000 a month ago can't remember:shrug:

What was the installation like on the cover? I think I might buy one...

It would be an easy install, if I recall correctly. However, I chose to have an upholstery shop install it for about 20 bucks. If you were to do it yourself, I believe you would simply remove the few screws that hold the bottom plate to the high density foam (that the leather wraps around); apply spray adhesive to the new cover; tack down; re-fasten the plastic bottom with the screws.

Again, I chose to have an upholstery shop do it because the spray adhesive would probably cost me 10 bucks, plus I just wanted to make sure it was done right. I will try to post before and after photos when I get home (I am out-of-town right now). All in all, the cover was a worthwhile investment.
