Manual shifter Mod?

Has anyone made the the Shifter longer by an inch or 2, I would like to do it and fit another shift knob.

yes it has been done. a member has actually welded a Tacoma shifter onto a stub of a 4Runner, either on this forum or Yota Tech.

Perhaps a threaded extender would achieve what you are attempting to do....
