This is from a 2nd generation 4runner and will perfectly fit into a 3rd generation 4runner (no modification needed). You have to swap your existing mirror to this unit.

Advantage with this is you can wire the lights to turn on when you open any of the 4 doors to illuminate the front seat area.
Very helpful if you have kids in the back seat. It lights up as soon as anyone in the back seat opens the door!

Easy install. Simply tap a wire from the roof lamp located in the center. The ideal location to tap is right behind the drivers seat by the rear passenger grab handle.
