Marker Lamp LED Upgrade Question

I noticed my front marker lights were out and went over to superbrightleds.com to order new markers all around (and license plate lights too) and saw their "recommended" bulb is Amber

AutoZone sells a 2825 that is clear for marker and license plate locations.

Has anyone put anything other than clear/amber bulbs in their marker and license plate locations with good result? Pics to share?

Also, I noticed there is a CANBUS bulb option that is $2 cheaper per bulb, any reason NOT to use this in a '99 SR5?

Sorry for the noob questions, fellas

I upgraded the corner lights to Amber LEDs. I think they were Sylvanias from O'Reillys I believe they're relatively new and not exactly cheap...maybe 10-15 bucks for the pair. Anywho, output and color has been great.

Depending on their output, if you upgrade your license plate lights to LED you'll most likely need to add a load equalize inline.
