First off I am going to presume you are an auto tranny guy. I personally am not aware of any remote start that can work on a manual tranny vehicle.
Politely I will try to steer you away from installing a remote start. Some folks have them and have no issues whatsoever. However, others have tried to install such items and encountered a variety of security and nuisance issues.
I don't pretend to know all about such items. I am simply relaying what I have read in a number of threads regarding remote start systems.
Particularly if you are doing the install yourself there are a number of things you can screw up that will cost significant $$ to fix if you do them incorrectly.
Not meaning to get you off to such a negative start here. But I would rather be honest with you than encourage you to attempt something you might regret sooner than later.
A car stereo shop is likely better equipped to answer your questions and advise you if what you bought is worth installing and their price to do so. The few dollars you might save doing it yourself is almost certainly to be filled with hours of frustration and teeth gnashing.
My 2 cents. Others may have other opinions. But 121 folks looked in before me and had not one peep to say. That alone tells me something.
