How about do a Skyline group drive late Sept, early Oct? I do this ride on my motorcycle with few of my friends and is great when colors starting to change.
We can meet at Ikea - College Park early morning, stop for a breakfast at the "red pig" in Front Royal and then go for the drive...

I've put a few meets together at Frisco in Columbia if that works? I can say from past experience that Sundays work best. A lot of people work Saturdays.
So 23rd or 30th? either dates work for me

Bit of a trek for me just for lunch, but if you wanted to turn it into a day trip I'd be interested.

Several years ago I put together a meet at Patapsco ST Park. It was well attended. We gave away recognition medals for best sound system, cleanest, dirtiest, most off-road worthy, etc. We had a Goodyear rep set up shop to show their off road tires. We also cooked burgers, dogs and had drinks. I would like to do something similar soon.
