As posted above, you can find 1/64th Hilux Surfs for sale here and there, but apparently a US spec '96-'02 3rd gen 4Runner in 1/64th scale was never produced...by anyone. (At least I've never been able to find one.)
JA's 1/38th models are the closest looking replicas to our 4Runners that I've come across...just wish he had them in 1/64th scale.
BTW, a company called Majorette produced a 2nd gen US spec 4Runner in 1/58th scale that came w/ a detachable boat/trailer in tow. The model actually has the words "Toyota Runner" stamped underneath (no 4 in Runner though) and has a small sticker on each side that reads "4x4 Runner" (again no 4 in Runner). I've got one of these models sitting on my desk as we speak
. Granted, it's no 3rd gen, but it's close.
