Would you happen to know where I can locate the relays?

I'm fairly certain I don't have DRL's, as they(turn signals) don't come on with the parking brake off...
 
So... I... Uh...

Had a clunking problem after my coil install... Thinking it was weird, I didn't drive it much, and just got to it a few minutes ago...

The relay is behind the fuse box below the steering wheel. You take off the trim piece below the steering wheel and then loosen the fuse box. If your relay has only 4 leads, it's a non-DRL relay. I have heard, but have not tried myself, that you can swap in a DRL relay and you will have DRL's. I had to swap mine out because I put LED bulbs in all of my turn signals.
 
So I kinda got tired of my hi lift damaging up my trunk, and taking up space in an awkward area. Since I rarely use it, I opted to mount it against the back of my 2nd row seats with latching straps. That way, it's easy to remove, but strong enough to hold in place while not in use. It's not ideal, but... It gets the job done.

I tried searching for alternative ways to mount it, but I was quite limited. Some people put them on their rack, and some others put a bolt through the floor so the jack lays flat. My issues with the rack is that I'd be exposing the jack to the elements, and to would be thieves. As for the bolts through the floor, there are times I take out the jack from the truck, so that I can haul some things. It's rare, but the fact is, I need something easy to remove, and doesn't act as too much of a hinderence.

Also, don't mind the driver side seat missing it's back... It's in the midst of something. :heh:

I have no experience with stitching/sewing, and was planning to ask my GF to sew it for me, as knitting is one of her hobbies, so it shouldn't be that different(?). In any case, I just ended up doing it myself, since I couldn't wait for her to get off work. LOL

Thing was a BREEZE to install. It took all of 20minutes or so... The first few minutes were trying to figure out how to sew it, and make sure it was on tight, but after trying the first few threads a few times, I was able to get it on fine for the rest of the wheel.

Cool, thanks! Was yours already leather-wrapped before from factory? if so, did you just do the wrap so it was thicker?

I love a thicker steering wheel and my wife's GTI always has me jealous, so the thin one on the 4Runner Limited is a bit disappointing

Yes, Mine was leather wrapped from factory, but it had signs of wear, so I wanted to make it look better by getting a wheel cover.

Yea, the GTI steering wheels are nice. This steering wheel cover IMO, puts it quite close to the GTI's. I didn't go with the slip on covers you see at walmart, because they make the steering wheel way too thick for my liking.
 
I'm quickly finding out how hard it is to keep my black 4Runner clean, especially because my car (that I'm trying to sell) is washed and waxed and taking up my garage slot.

So the 4Runner sits outside and gets wet, and instantly looks dirty

Yea, thats what sucks about black, but it's so weird to me, since I usually never wash it with an actual sponge and soap(always been power wash rinse)... And when I do wash it, I usually get it all muddy/dirty within a week...
 
Had a REALLY annoying rattle that I couldn't source, for ages, because it would only happen on big dips. I tried taking a hammer to the skid too, but that didn't do it...

So I spent this past weekend for a good amount of time trying to figure out what was rattling... And then I found it... There was about 2cm gap... Bent it back out and fixed it.... I need to upgrade....

After 3 months and solid communication with Relentless Fabrication, I finally picked up my front bumper. That 3 months was the longest 3 months... But well worth it... Now need to save up for a winch and lights.
