Max Tire Size Limited 2004 4x2

I just purchased a 2004 Limited 4runner 4x2 and was curious to the maximum tire size I can put on with stock suspension. Factory tires on mine are 265/65/17. Any ideas?

Wanted to put on 265/70/17 BFG's or bigger if possible.

The 265/70-17 will fit on the stock runner according to people here on the forum. People are also adding 255/75-17's and they offer a little bit more height (32.1 in vs 31.9 in) but I'm not sure if they will fit the stock with out a little fender triming. I'm looking into the same thing with upsizing my tires.

Anyone run 255/75-17 on stock 4th gen??

I'm running the daystar spacer lift and All Pro wheel spacers and the tires rub. I'm thinking no on stock.

Most 265/70/17s will fit, but the BFG's will more than likely rub.

The spacers are known to cause rubbing issues, just tires alone shouldn't cause rubbing, except for a few such as the BFG's.

I just put on BFGs size 265/70/17s with the stock suspension on my '04 Limited and only found very minor rubbing on the fender liner when at full lock going over a bump. Nothing requiring any trimming etc. I then put a lift on and no rubbing, but the tires are very close to the upper control arms. I put Spidertrax on today and now have rubbing issues with the front mud flaps and fender liner which is going to require some trimming.

With stock suspension and no spacers you'll be fine.
