i dont know on that particular rig, but there is usually also a transmission cooler, and possible trailer wiring installed.

Mine was the hitch and the wiring harness. Nothing more it was actually just a port installed accessory.

I'm actually pulling the old one , it was the hidden hitch with the slightly better clearance than the standard one, i still might drive down there though, hahaha

im not 100% sure on this but i believe the fan clutch is different. if you look at where it bolts on it'll be painted a color i think orange meant non tow package and green meant it has tow package. liek i said not 100% sure on this. only reference i really have is my buddy has a '02 taco and his was WAY quieter after cold start than my obnoxious fan he says because i have the tow package and he doesn't... anyone else ever heard this?

Mine did not have the factory tow package (i put a factory hitch on), i can hear my fan from a mile away. Actually i can hear a 3.4l 4Runner is coming before i look to see because of how loud that fan's suction is.

oh yeah you can tell what it is just by the sound of that fan. i was just sayin that my buddies taco is 1000 times quieter at cold start it doesn't take a minute for the fan to quiet down and he has the same motor just the fan shaft is painted a different color. so after searchin around for this best thing i could find is a thread of tacomaworld about them having pink shafts...

I have never heard of this before but my 4runner came with the tow package and my fan clutch shaft is green...

yeah mine is green also. i have the tow package from factory. the taco mentioned has an orange one. might just be one of those factory things that they never really mention
