imho, 2011 will not be any major changes in 4runner. If you need it, get it. i was going to wait, but if incentives come here, i will be ordering one. In looking at back at 2003 vs 2004 4runner, not much change, so dont think much change will happen in 2011 (ie, glass antenna, locking gas cap, etc) that many people here already wished for, including the v8

At his news conference Wednesday, Mr. Toyoda lamented that an overzealous pursuit of growth had led Toyota to lose sight of its commitment to quality.

“We so aggressively pursued numbers that we were unable to keep up with training staff to oversee quality,” he said. “We were also somewhat slow in collecting, analyzing and acting on complaints we received from our drivers,” he added.

Well with the sales drop, hopefully quality will increase again. *fingers crossed*

:iagree: Most of Toyotas recent models that gotten the mid-generation refresh, only involved changes to plastics and lights. Toyota didn't tweak the shapes of the lights as it would affect the sheet metal. Changes in sheet metal means changes in stamping and more costs.

Only changes Toyota would make, is probably make the bumpers and side sills a little bit taller so they're less likely to get hung up on something, or ditch some of the chrome on the Limited, color keyed body features on the Trail, etc. Mid 2003 Toyota stopped producing the gray fender flares and cladding on the SR5 and Sport Edition. But the 2006+ updates were just changes to lights and plastic parts. The same goes for the 2009 update on the Tacoma and 2010 Camry.
