MB Wheels v. Black Rock??

Does anyone have any experience with MB Wheels?

They appear to be Discount Tire’s house brand. I am looking at the MB Wheels 72 here: Wheel Details - Discount Tire Direct

I went in to Discount Tire looking for Black Rock Yuma Series 980B wheels, like these: Black Rock Yuma Series 908B : Black Rock

Frankly, I prefer the Black Rock wheels because of the smaller center cap and fewer lug holes (I think that’s what I am seeing on the MB Wheels wheel) but Discount tire will sell the MB Wheels for $18 less than the Black Rock wheels ($104 ea. Compared to $122 ea.).

My question really is whether the MB Wheels are a good (or good enough) quality wheel.

Also, the Black Rocks are 7x8 with 4.5” backspacing while the MBs are 7x8.5 with -12 offset.

Note that I’ve also wondered whether perhaps the two wheels come from the same factory in China. They look so similar to each other.

Take a look at the ATX Mojave wheels too, same style. Between those two though, I would get the MB.

Kind of TE wheel like, but with a little more style...

I love those scorpions but alas they only come in 18". I'm going with the black rocks over the MBs.

Take a look at the ATX Mojave wheels too, same style. Between those two though, I would get the MB.

The ATM Mojave wheels are the other ones I was considering but they come in teflon grey, not matte black. Also, they are more expensive than the Black Rocks.

Why would you choose the MB over the Black Rock?

The center cap is bigger because you are looking at an 8 lug wheel. On the 5 lug wheel, the center cap is actually smaller than what you would actually receive. We have 6 lug trucks, so the center cap size will be in between.
