Mchang's Build/Photo Thread.

So I've been lurking around the forum since October 2012 when I bought my Black 2012 Trail Edition 4runner. Since then I have learned quite a bit by searching around in the forum and am ecstatic about the helpful members and advice received to make my 4runner what I want it to be. Previously I owned a 2005 Double cab long bed Tacoma 2wd which was traded in for a 2008 Volkswagen R32, and now I'm back with the good ol' reliable TOYOTA.

I have much to learn about these rigs and this thread is made to show the progress of my build. Hope to build lasting relationships with all of you for as long as the 4runner lives! So here goes my build...!

The day I brought her home...

Ran into a problem! Snapped the passenger side wheel sensor wire while installing the lift so I had to disassemble it and solder the wires back together to turn off the Xmas lights in the cluster.

I also plasti dipped the wheels while they were off during the lift. This is only temporary until I purchase wheels and tires. But this is how she sits as of right now.

Nice rig buddy. Did you paint the wheels by yourself, they look nice

Thanks! I plasti dipped them while they were off the 4runner while installing my lift. The process was quite simple but a little frustrating because it was a little windy that day.

Sweet 4Runner man! The vision I have for mine is about 90% of what you have here. Thanks for the preview, your truck is making it much easier to want to pull the trigger on my mods.

Glad you like the progression of my rig so far, but I STILL need wheels and tires... Thinking of Fuel trophy wheels with hankook ATMs. A buddy of mine has a lifted Tacoma and the tires alone make such a drastic difference.

Do it...

Thinking of Fuel trophy wheels....[/QUOTE]

I would LOVE to see those wheels on a 4R! If cost wasn't a factory, those would have ended up on my truck. I love the beadlock look without the chrome bling!

I'm surprised I haven't seen them on the forum yet. How much are a set of Fuel trophy wheels? $1000?

There is one photo on the forum of a BP w/ the gunmetal grey color...maybe in the lifted section. Someone on the forum posted for a friend who isn't active on the forum....anyway, the cheapest I found them was $840 from an ebay store.

Went out for dove season opener over this past weekend with a few buddies and happened to take a picture of our rigs lined up.
