I have used the McKesh mirrors for years now on my 4Runner.
When mounted properly, they work great.
When I first got the McKesh mirrors I did have to bend the metal bracket on the strap that hooks to the bottom of the door.
Bending it was necessary so the bracket would fit around the bottom of the door.
BTW, I put painter's tape on the bottom of the bracket. When I use the mirrors for towing I also use painter's tape on the bottom of the door frame sill.
FYI, once I got the McKesh mirrors set up the first time, I used a fine point black felt tip marker to draw lines on each window gasket where the mirror bracket hooks into the door.
That makes mounting the mirrors in the exact same place a snap.
If you buy the McKesh mirrors seriously consider getting the optional convex mirrors. They do make a difference.
If you look closely at my current avatar you will see the McKesh mirrors on my 4Runner.
