Thanks ecrew16, I thought I'd reply in a more appropriate thread. Unfortunately I will be out of town that weekend. That place looks like a lot of fun. I used to work in Rancho Cordova, I had no idea that place existed. Anything changes with my plans I'm there.

In the future, when the snow melts, it would be fun to get a group together and hit some trails in the tahoe/el dorado national forest.

I agree. It would be a lot of fun to explore some trails once the snow melts. Some of the trails listed on this website would be pretty fun.

thanks for the link Zinarac. I've been looking for a site with this kind of info. the Grouse ridge/Bowman lake area is my stomping ground. Lots of great trails and camping. Never been on top of Signal peak before. I'll have to check that out this summer.

Definitely keep in touch you guys. I'm in Tahoe a lot over the summer visiting friends up there and such so I'm always down for a trail drive.

Sorry I missed this guys! And ecrew I think I've seen you out at Folsom Lake! If you guys are ever free on a Tues or Wed. let me know. The amount of snow we've had lately has made me feel my SUV run I had planned for May 15th is going to be pushed back.

Is there good camping in the area? I might consider driving up Fri. camp out Fri. and Sat and drive back Sun. would be a shit load of driving but I might be up for it if I don't have to work that weekend.

bought time to get out of town for a couple of days last time I was up that way I went to crescent city for the weekend that was back in Aug.
