Meguiar's NXT 2.0 - Very Impressed

Just wanted to share that I just used Meguiar's NXT 2.0 Paste wax for the 1st time this weekend and was very impressed. I am a weekend warrior not a hardcore detailer and I have to admit the results from this wax are impressive. I did attempt clay bar for the 1st time on the hood and started on the doors but of course I dropped it in the sand about 1/4 through the process so that ended that. The wax went on very easy, no dust and leaves an impressive shine. For a lot of you out there that do not have the time for an all day long detail, I highly recommend this as I washed and waxed the whole vehicle in less than 2 hours. I did not do the wheels and tires as it is still a mess in these parts, but I wanted to share my success story on the wax as it is great. I have heard mixed reviews on durability and longevity so we'll see

Very impressive. I suspect you had to have a beautiful car to begin with. It brings out that deep red color. The second picture shows all the beauty in your car, the wax, the wheels, running boards and the overall look.

I see snow on the side of the road, be sure not to drive that rig for the next two months....

thanks. the red is much deeper in color when clean, that is for sure. this look will only last about a day since the roads are all still covered with sand and salt but I figured I might as well get a jump on the summer by having a fresh coat of wax. probably wax one more time in the summer and then another in the fall.

I used it once or twice, then stopped using it because it only lasts a few weeks. After that, the shine dulls, water no longer sheets off the vehicle, etc.

I use Zaino's now. I could leave it for 6-9 months if I chose to do so, but I usually do a minor detail every few months, or if I really trash the sides while offroading.

Looks good on your truck, just pay attention to how well the water sheets off the truck so you can re-apply it.

That looks really nice, just like on the showroom floor. Actually better! The color looks awesome too.

I had the same color, but on a 91 4R and i loved the way it looked after a wash. Now I have a black 4R and it's a pain to keep clean :bash: haha but it looks good all cleaned up.

Let us know how it turns out in a few weeks or so.

Looks real nice ! As HB stated the durability is not very good but it has a great look . Maybe hit it with another coat when you get a chance.

I detail quite a few cars besides my own . If you do to Meg's prof. line is much better than the consumer line.

I use a variety of different things.
