I wanted a clear look for the side bulbs located in the headlight housing. I just bought the 921-W9 (white LED) from superbrightleds.com as I understand it these bulbs will not cause a problem with heat buildup, is that correct? Just want to make sure before the install........

LEDs do not cause problems with heat buildup. I've been using them in the rear fog light housing without any sign of heat damage.

I have 6 LEDs white wedge bulbs in my front parking light and it's BRIGHT as DAY!! if you're worry about heat their isn't any with LEDs!!

the white LEDs give off a white w/ a bluest tint just like xenon/HID light.

First off all I gave up today, I put the passenger side light in but the drivers side I never could get in, I guess Ill have to remove the battery, any tips on getting this in. Also I did test the light I got in and it looked good but did you change your headlights also? They look weak in comparison to the side lights.

Hey TRD04RUNNER did you change you other lights also, such as your taillights, lic. plate?

I change my front parking, license plate , doors light, dooms light and map light to all white (6)LEDs I got from superbrightleds.com. I was going to change my DRL and tail light too but the 21 LEDs amber bulbs was not as bright as the stock amber bulbs in the front DRL.also it made my turn signal blink VERY fast! don't know why??. and the 24 red LEDs tail bulbs did not fit into the taillight housing so I return them..

Typically, Toyotas blink fast when a bulb burns out. The lower load caused by the LEDs was probably what triggered it.

You are correct sir! The lower amp draw on the LEDs cause the bulbs to blink faster b/c the 4Runner thinks the bulb is burned out, because it draws such little current. Superbright LEDs sells resistors for a few dollars that, when placed in series, will create a larger draw from the battery when the turn signal is turned on, drawing essentially the same amps as a normal bulb would.

FYI for the leds in the front parking light. be careful about the heat from the head light not the led. to much heat can cause the leds to fail.. ive gone through 2 pairs already, but the ones i have seem to be working better then the others. 194 the one w/ the high flux on top and i think 4 mounted on the sides from superbrightleds.com. and there bright.
