Ugly.
The tires/wheels remind me of the vehicles that run around town with too narrow of tires on a wide wheel.
Have to remember though...this is a "concept" and if they do base anything off it later, it'll look nothing like this. This was simply design engineers throwing every idea into a hat then picking them out one by one and adding it to the rendering

Yep, they call it "stretched tires", ugly and extremly unsafe. Lets run a 9inch wide tire on a 10inch wide rim.

I would rather keep my 4 runner and spend the xtra on gas than drive that hideous piece of crap. Atleast I know if I get into an accident my family and I will be safe.

It may be a bit brash for the street at the moment, but we have to keep in mind Mercedes pioneers much of the technology for cars X amount of years down the road. IIRC abs, airbags, crumplezones, and a host of other things standard today were all developed by Mercedes first, so I imagine we could get some cool new technology out of things like this that we may see in new off-road type vehicles in the near future.
