Thankfully this isn't off of a 4R but rather from the front diff of a newish GMC 4X4 truck with 50,000 miles on it. I think I am going to look into a magentic drain plugs for my diff, oil and transmission.

I asked my friend if he was driving some serious trails but to my surprise, he drives mainly on the street. Apparently, this is very common on GMC 4x4's.

Remember, those "should" fit the oil drain. The diffs, trany or Xfer case are probably a different one. In other words, double check.
