Metra wire color - illumination wure

I have the metra kit for my 2001 4 Runner. The new Sony head unit lists the illumination wire as orange/white. Metra lists illumination as orange and dimmer as orange.white. The Sony does not have a dimmer wire. Any ideas which way I should wire this . Description to description would be orange/white to orange. Color to color would be orange/white to orange/white. A few google searches seemed to imply that description to description was correct.
