2008 Sport w/ XREAS 4x4 65,000 miles (stock suspension)



added about 1-1.5 inches to the overall ride height.

here in TX most of the roads are concrete slabs and have seams that vary from 1CM to 6CM. Rolls much better over them.

no sway bar rub with full lock out.

wheel wells look "full" without a lift

put these tires on if you want a smooth and plush road ride. couldn't be happier with the ride and the way that it handles.

Yes sir those are some fine tires!!! Ill bet your spedo is spot on too. With stock tires I read about 3mph faster than I am actually going.

My 4Runner came with those tires in 16" diameter. Decent tires. I switched them out for 275/16 Goodyear Conquest AT's. I put them on my '96, and it improved ride quality greatly. I just sold it today to a happy buyer.

Good tires, comfortable ride!

If you account for the essentially bald dunlops then the differential is about 1-1.5" (loosely guestimated)

Speedo is dead-on (Garmin as benchmark) up to 43 MPH, then the speed-o under-reports and the error increased with speed.

Those tires are very capable off road! I had them on an xterra and 2 different tacomas. They are also exceptional tires in snow and rain. I wish they made them in 18'' for my wifes pilot.

Bought those exact same tires for my 07 Sport a year and a half back, and it looks like I just purchased them yesterday. Worth every penny of the purchase. No tread wear after a good 20k on them...they've got a long life ahead of 'em.

I put them on both my 3rd gen and 4th gen. 4th gen has about 25K miles on them, and they look brand new with no wear. Agreed worth every penny!

I've been wanting to put MS/2s in 265/70/17 on mine for a long time. Unfortunately I can't justify it until my General AWs die and they still look brand new after 25,000 miles.

I like how the larger diameter fills out the wheel well better but it looks close. I understand there is no rubbing but if you hit a big pothole or bump does the tire bounce up into the fender at all? That first pic makes me think it would.

okay so I am the assistant manager of Big O tires in Tucson AZ. being around tires all day everyday one thing to keep your eye on with Michelin's is they are having issues with what they are calling "ozone cracking" more then they used to.

being in the desert where it is extra dry we have more of a issue then most of the country. The best tire (in my opinion) is the Nitto Crosstek. I've been running 265/65/17 (on my 03 sport) for a year now and i am hooked! Not to mention they are a great tire for dry climate because they are a silica based rubber compound (less likely to dry rot) I am actually buying new wheels for my 96 SR5 (they only come in 17's and up) so i can trade out my TAKO's for the Nitto's....

Got them on my '04 and love them. Been running Michelins on my previous truck and wifes car and they last longer than any tire i have ever used. Dad has 65k on his Michelins on the Super Duty and they still have a ton of thread left. They are great in the rain, snow and ice.
