Michelin Tires Questions

Hey guys and gals,

I have a few questions about Michelin Tires..

Today, I took my mom's car for rotation and balance.

They told me the tires were bald and needed to be replaced.

So I replaced it with Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S however, when I went to look at the tires back at home, it stated 'made in Mexico'. Since when did Michelin switched assemblies to Mexico instead of USA?

after looking at it, I'm starting to having doubts...

is made in Mexico reliable? My old set of tires, we got close to 60k miles out of it.. I don't know if this set will..

Does anyone know if I can take the current Michelin tires I have back to the tire shop and replace it with something else?

I was thinking about Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position over the Michelin..

Bridgestones are made in Japan correct?

thanks.

Most tires are imported, no what brand they are. The side walls will tell the story. Why would tires made in Mexico be questionable? What makes made in USA a better quality tire?

Michelin's tires are manufactured all over the world. Their country of manufacture is ultimately irrelevant because they're still manufactured to Michelin's specs and quality standards. I've seen Michelin tires manufactured in the US, Canada, Mexico, France, UK, and Hungary, to name a few.

Don't worry about them.
