Someone has to do the annual post on here.

Ill be in MI over the 4th this year. Anyone take a stock 4runner on the dunes at Silver Lake?? I would love to take my 2010 LE up there for some fun.

I just got my 4R in early July. I wouldn't mind doing simple trails, but there don't seem to be any down here near St. Joseph.
We're going camping in the Traverse City area soon, and I know there are some up there, though.
The truck is bone-stock, so two-track is all I'm comfortable with.

I'm in Traverse City, hit me up if you are coming up. I don't know a whole lot of areas yet but I know a couple good two-tracks that you shouldn't have any issues with in a stock Runner. If you do, I have a tow strap. ;)

That goes for anyone in or coming to Traverse city or surrounding area. I am always looking to go out and have some fun. Would be nice to find someone that knows more spots than me, but I know a few good trails in the power lines area that can be fun. A few hills, lots of sand, lots of woods.

Thanks for the offer!
I'll be up there with my family to do some camping this Friday-Tues. (9/12-16). We're camping at the KOA in Buckley. My father-in-law--and maybe our boys--might want to hit some trails while the moms go shopping.

That would be awesome! I live 3 miles from Munson hospital, so not far over there at all. Message me if you guys have time and want to go out on some trails.

Great! I'll PM you my cell #.
Can you post the general area of the mild trails so I can scope/obsess, instead of working, this week? Is an ORV tag required?

No tags required. Most of it is on power lines and on state land. There are some snowmobile trails running through that they might say you need a tag for but I've never so much as seen a dnr officer out there.
The area is just off 5 mile road, between supply Rd, and M-72. The Vasa trail runs through there. Then there is more area over past Williamsburg road that continues on the power line and through state land.

I found the area. We've vacationed near there before. Now, we finally have a way to explore a little better. :eyebrows:

I am in Byron Center, just south of Grand Rapids. I've hit the sand at Silver Lake State Park a few times. Always looking for a good excuse to get sandy. I also have a family cottage in Elk Rapids, north of Traverse City. Love the lakeshore, Fall color tours, lighthouses, etc. Perhaps a cruise and/or off-road trail ride could be organized.

My 4Runner is my daily driver, my "baby", my project vehicle, and I take great effort to keep her looking good and running well.

I live in Traverse City, always looking for people to hit trails with. I don't know a ton of areas yet, but I'm always up for some fun.

fairly new to MI

If you have one or know where I could get one pls let me know text or call 941-726-7556. or if you know of a good import J yard where I might be able to obtain one any help finding one will be appreciated.

Looking for rear diff locker E-locker (Motor), (Actuator) call or text # above.
