Might buy a 1995 4runner 3.0 v6 5spd

Hey Guy's,

I'm looking at a 1995 4runner with a 3.0 v6 and a 5spd. I know the 22r's are reliable but I have heard some bad things about the 3.0 v6 are they true? How are the manual transmissions? Any problems with this year?

Only thing with the 95's is the head gaskets seem to go. You might want to check that out. The 95' that I bought had the head gasket go and a new engine was needed.

I would swear by a 5spd V6. See my reply to "3.0 V6 luck" post about my 1st gen V6.<br><br>

<br>Just check with Toyota on the VIN to see if the head gask replacement has been done. They should still do it if not.
