I am still seriously lacking in motivation to make a build thread because I failed to do so from the start and it's gonna be a long post.

geez it has been awhile. I got a job just after the last post. just this last weekend I had design and build the entire rear end. Got it done in about 22-24 hours total work time over 4 days. here's, again, a crappy picture...but look at that sweet rear end!

I am an old Mustang guy from way back. Still own my 65 Fastback bought it 1976. Love the V8. Lots of work for sure. You defiantly made a little rocket! I think the guys in this forum would be more impressed if you had stuffed it in old 1st or 2nd generation 4Runner.
Save up your money to keep buying new rear tires!!!

haha I so want to do that.

Called AAA had it towed from home to work since I'm moving this week. suffered a casualty as the right lower spring perch popped off on the tow truck. no big deal, but damn I didn't realize I had such crappy penetration on that side. (couldn't see at all what I was welding. )

She still rolls, but there's 1mm gap between tire and fender lol. oh well, now I can use the better welder and a lift etc to get it all properly welded in.

I think it's a cool project. If you put a quiet exhaust on it, it would make a great sleeper.

Nice! What are you going to do for exhaust. Probably will be tough to keep it a sleeper once people hear it. IMO, the V8 Mustang has the most noticeable sounds of any car out there...
