Mileage b4, after?

i am looking into getting an old 86 sr5 and i was just wondering what kind of mileage you guys get in the older 4cyl or 6cyl. (especailly 4cyl), how much does the mileage decrease with a lift and tires? i am just wondering if i could still afford gas, right now i drive a full size chevy and it gets about 14-15, and if a 22r or 22re are going to get the same then i might as well stick with the chev.

This may help you a little. My brother has an 85 pickup with the 4cyl, 5 speed manual transmission, 4x4 not lifted but has 31 x 10.5 tires on it. He's gets about 17 miles to the gallon.

I have a 90 4x4 4runner with the v-6, manual trans and get 20 miles to the gallon. But it has stock tires and is not lifted.

I just put 31 x 10.5 tires on today and will have to wait and see what it does to the mileage.

1993 T4R V6 Manual.. stock it got me around 18MPG. Now its a little lifted, and has bigger tires. Gets me around 14MPG.
