My '06 SR5 2WD now has 32,240 miles on it. Since I got it I have put in 1857.924 gallons. That translates to average mileage of 17.35 MPG. How does this compare to yours? It is not what I had hoped, but still far better than the +/-12 MPG i got in my Dodge Dakota V8 Quad Cab. Funny thing - I still have yet to break the 20 MPG barrier since 20.12 on the 2nd tank. I still think highway MPG should be much better...

I have 17K on my 4x4 V8. I get about 15mpg around town and 19-20 mpg on the highway.
In 17K miles my average (calculated) MPG is 14.54.
As you might guess, I do use my 4Runner for towing which is why the over-all average is a little low.

I get 18.5 average on my 06 V6 2WD mostly city driving i use 89.. this figure is when i drive like a granny, but when i get on it i get about 16.7 average.. i feel like i got better gas mileage with the true flow filter compared to the K&N plus better throtle response too... i now have 10,200

Thanks for the smartgas.net link. I find the layout quite interesting. Virtually every article is authored by the same guy, Louis LaPoint but appears to try and come across as some large organization.
This guy appears to have, uh, interesting thought processes and seems to know a lot of stuff that the best and brightest engineers in the world have seemed to totally be wrong on.

If this guy really wants some dough as he's asking for donations, he and his partners should sell their devices off to an automaker for, oh, a meager $10,000,000 or so. They'd probably jump at the bargain instead of spending BILLIONS on hybrid and other techs they're investing in now. If they only knew some dude had it all figured out in his basement!
