I have been watching others do it so I figured I would share mine as well. Purchased my 08 Mica Grey SR5 last week.

List for the next two weeks. Parts ordered or already here, just need to get them in.

Lights-

Headlights- Retro-solutions 55w 6k HID's. Leftover from my 12 Ram 1500.
Fogs- New yellow HID bulbs on the way.
LED's ordered for maps, domes, doors, and plate.

Wheels/tires-

LT275/70/17 BFG T/A KO's on factory rims. Probably plasti dip them in the spring.

Suspension-

FJ Cruiser Springs
Front Bilstein 5100's set at 1.75
Daystar rear 1.5 spacer

Extra's-

RCI Under Armor front and transmission skid plates.
Badlands 12,000 winch with wireless remote. Going to return this week to get the Superwinch Tiger Shark 9500.
Going to get a hitch plate with it until I can find a good deal on a bud built or something else hidden.
Somehow rig a dual battery system as I have an Optima sitting in my garage from my mustang.

Now I just need the time to do it all!! I think its a decent start for only a week old. I will try and get before and after on everything...time permitting.

Future mods-

Some type of roof rack and ladder system.
Snorkle maybe??
Some TRD or other rims.
Nice seat covers.
Remote start as I am now missing the one I had on the Ram.
Full size spare..Think I may be able to squeeze that size underneath still.

Any other thoughts or recommendations feel free to add them....

I'll be following this one. Currently have billies (front at .85 but wanting to go to 1.75), FJ springs and rear daystar 1.5. My Revos are worn out but I'm going to try to make it through the winter so that I can get bfg at or duratracs on my new matte black stealth 6 wheels. I'm interested to hear how the 275's fit for you. Good luck with everything and keep us posted!

I will get some pics up ........um....sometime. Problem is that it is currently 9 degrees here and this boy don't like the cold!! Snow starts tomorrow night (3-5is all), but I work 12hr night shifts all weekend.

I will get some before the mods start though.

Now that you're getting it all done up, you may look forward to the snow! I know I am :) I'm in Omaha

I wont even have my new tires on for this snow!!!:redbrick:
Just my current dry rotted, rounded, 25% remaining tread tires.:roadkill:

I am thinking Monday night I may get under it and start with the suspension and Armor. All of that is in just need to get to UPS to pick up the Amor. It will probably suck since it will be covered in salt and snow though.

Then tires on Tue or Wed...? Hopefully I don't run into to many rubbing issues with them.....in other words I just hope the rubbing is small enough I can install them and drive and worry about the rubbing at a later time.

Yeah, here's a thought...Hanging out with the likes of this one will cause you to throw more money into your 4runner.

Haha....bring it on!!! I have been eye balling a roof rack, but trying to debate on how to hide it from the wife.:behindsofa:

Be smart!! You don't hide it from her, you make her welcome it, by telling her you are all going on a trip/vacation.. and you show her how convenient it is to store things up there and out of the way... "OH, and by the way honey?" you tell her, "See this Gobi Ladder, this is how we are going to bring things in and out of the roof rack, because you know SAFETY is #1 in our household."

:biggrin1:

These pictures are pre everything. I decided to install the lift last night in my cold ass garage covered in salt sand and every other grime you get with a first seasons snow.

And now after the lift:

Bilstein 5100's set a 1.75" with FJ Springs all around and FJ Bilstein shocks in the rear with a daystar 1.5" spacer.

Tires are BFG KO's LT275/70R17.
The tires fit well. No rubbing during driving, but when parked the tires touch the UCA at full lock. Will drive for a few days and check the liners for rubbing.

Also installed the RCI front and tranny guard.
I did not get a chance to do the measurements.

Been a while. I got my Rola basket and the drop mounts. I also just got the NEW budbuilt hidden winch bracket to go with my superwinch 9500. The rola should go on in ht e next few days, but I am not sure when I will get to the Winch install...it may be a few weeks.

ETA: Also finally got around to getting an alignment.

I have been eye balling them, but pushing them out scares me a little. I know tons of people do it, but it makes me nervous with a kid being in the car.

Had some time tonight so added some parts that were sitting around.

Rola roof rack with lowering mounts.
HID 55w 6k headlights
HID 35w 3k yellow fogs

Allpro spacers. 1.25 up front with 1.50 in the rear. Pushed the liners forward and trimmed the bumper. I am very nervous right now driving with the spacers though.

May have time to install the winch tomorrow, but I'm not sure yet.

If you installed them correctly, using the extended tip nuts on the front and properly torqued them you have nothing to be concerned about. I ran my AllPro spacers before getting new wheels and they were great. I sold them to a fellow owner here and he is currently running them now.

looks nice!!! Have you done the after measurements? trying to finish up getting the pieces for my build then its on!!!
