Not surprising. I see my old 2000 Tundra around town all of the time. It's somewhere over 350K with no issues. Keep them maintained and they'll run forever.

I think the 1UZ has a 6-bolt main (vs the 2UZ's 2-bolt) and better connecting rods. Regardless of that, I MUCH prefer the UZ engines over their UR replacements.

Hino had no part in developing the 2uzfe, I remember reading a article that said Toyota spent over 1 billion in devolving the 1uzfe for the LS400. I'm not surprised that that uz series of motors are used in industrial equipment since there also found in Prop Aircraft and boats!

In terms of capability the 2JZ tops my list. Along with the Getrag 6 speed they are near indestructible.

I know it is a subsidiary, but that doesn't mean the Toyota engineers have to call up the Hino engineers on the other side of the building when they need to design an engine for an SUV or truck. I've seen a forklift with the 1FZ, but the 2UZ in industrial machinery is new to me.

Someone in that FB thread figured out what I was wondering...that's an '08, so that driver averaged 125K a year, which is about 342 miles a day. Holy s***.

That's actually incredible considering it's just a pickup truck.

And apparently the motor never saw a rebuild and has 115 services at that dealer.
