Mirror Housing Replacement

The driver's side mirror housing on my '05 4Runner has a large crack in it, and I'm looking for an inexpensive way to replace it.

Does anyone have experience with removing/replacing the mirror housing, and possibly know where I could purchase one?

I'd like to avoid having the dealer replace it.
