Mirror keeps fallin off...WTF!?!?!?

i took my rear view mirror off a couple weeks ago to replace those bulbs in the map lights of my 94...but now the mirror wont stay up...it keeps fallin off when i hit bumps...or when i shift...anyone else have this happen?...any suggestions on how to make it fit?

What exactly is falling? The mirror it self and the mount is left on or the whole thing, so it looks like there was no mirror in the first place. 3M tape or superglue

the map lights stay up...but the mirror and the little piece of plastic that clips on both fall off...ive tried tape...and glue...but it is loose inside the fitting...kinda hard to explain...it moves around when it is up...and then when i hit bumps...it falls off...usually smashing my hand on the shifter...(manual trans)...
