Misfire no CEL

Any idea how they test for that?

They basically put it on a 'scope'. Hooked up a computer to it and found the misfire on the coil. Moved the coil from #3 to #5 and the misfire followed. I have since replaced the coil and no problems at all!

This was an interesting situation ( from my perspective). Glad you got it sorted out. With coil-on-plug arrangement it seems they would act as one (almost) and that a scope would be able to sort it out, as you discovered.
