Moab Trails?

So the lady in my life and I are going out to Moab this Sunday and I was wonder what trails would be fun to do? My 4Runner is stock but I have 31s (I think lol) and a rear locker. I read from various websites that I might be able to do Hells Revenge. Any input would help, thanks!

Newish driver? Alone I assume? Get a copy of the Moab bible, and stay off anything harder than about the middle of his "Moderate" list. Your truck is fairly capable, but your relative inexperience could land you in trouble. While you could technically drive Hells Revenge if you stayed off the obstacles, I wouldn't if I were you. Save that kind of stuff for when you've got more experience or friends with you to help out if you get into trouble, because there are places on trails like Hells Revenge where you can REALLY get into trouble.

For easy driving and fantastic scenery, check out Long Canyon, Potash Road to Shafer Switchbacks, and Gemini Bridges (really, it's hard not to find awesome scenery on any road outside Moab, it's all stunning, pick a road and go). For a little 4WD action with little risk of trouble, you could drive out a section of the White Rim (get a permit, and combine this with Potash/Shafer for a full day of awesomeness). Bull Canyon has a couple spots you can flex out a little, and is a great drive. Chicken Corners will take most of a day, and is fairly iconic. Tower Arch in Arches is a fun trail, so is the road to Picture Frame Arch.

Get a guidebook or set of maps, pack water and snacks and warm clothes and tools/spares, and have fun.

I'd say I'm a pretty experienced driver. I'm looking for some more trails to do that aren't too mechanically challenging, but still pretty fun. I've had lots of experience both in my 4runner and actual crawlers. But I will be sure to look at those trails. Thanks, I appreciate your info.

Your truck is definitely capable of driving Hells Revenge, if you avoid the serious obstacles like Escalator and Hells Gate. There will still be some sketchy parts but if you know how to pilot your truck you'll be fine.

It's all good, I guess I should have specified that I'm not a newbie. I don't really want trails that are pretty intense, but something more than 2wd roads with bumps in them.

+1 to everything KV said, especially long canyon, white rim, and chicken corners - those are all great winter trails. Tiptoe behind the rocks, spring canyon/hey joe, and the Owl Draw Road way to the overlook on Dome Plateau are also good this time of year.

I would stay off Hell's Revenge and Fins and Things this time of year. Any other time they would be no problem, but there are some steep, north facing, slick rock climbs that will probably be impassible from snow/ice. Trust me, sliding sideways off of a fin, praying you don't roll, is no fun.
