Anyone know if oil caps are iterchangeable from one car to another? GM makes an oil cap for the Corvette that has Mobil 1 15W-30 printed on it. Wondered if it would fit 4Runner

I'm not sure, if it's a Buddy's vette, I would say ask him if you can try it on your ride.
Or try what I do...I go on kragen.com & would check the oil cap on both cars & see if the reference/part # is the same, if so, you're in luck.
I do that all the time, I cross reference stuff.
Like SC300/SC400 & Supra. I compare to see if the brakes size are the same.
Good luck w/ it & if it works, post some pictures!!

Thanks. Since I posted the question, my brother bought the Cadillac sports car, the XLR or something. All I know is it has a supercharger so I figured it would have the Mobil I oil cap. Sure enough, it did and it'didn't come anywhere close to fitting the Toyota. They do make a decal however that says "Mobil 1 10W-30". It's supposed to go on the valve cover but 4-Runner doesn't have room for it on the cover. You could put it on the huge plastic engine concealer. Don't understand why the carmakers of today don't want you to see the engine. What are they ashamed of?
