Mobile version on the forum.

I've been waiting for our forum to catch up with the rest of the world and offer a mobile version for a VERY long time. I have also asked that question in the past, and the answer was that vBulletin did not have the mobile option.

Now it does. So what's holding us back???

I'm sure that I'm not the only forum user with internet enabled phone...

I use it on my G1 phone and I think it does ok for a phone. it does take a while to load but I think it was the network. could cost be one of the factors as well as the signal.

In my opinion, the forum web site, as it exists now, is barely usable on mobile phone browser - the forum is graphics intensive, and takes forever to download pages, even on the 3G network. Even when using wi-fi connection it takes a while.

So, admins, how about it?

I agree! Take a look at Neowin.net for example. They have a great mobile version of thier site which is fully functional.

Now that the email notofications seems to be working again ( :hatsoff: to our admins), may be we can look into creating a mobile version of this site to make it easier for those of us that are on the move... :zoom:
