Still an LE at heart unless you removed the centre diff and XREAS and added a rear locker, crawl control, and multi-terrain select.

What would be interesting is to see the distribution or sales figures of the different models for North America to see how well they match up to this poll. At first glance, it would seem that the proportion of TE owners on this forum is higher than the general distribution of vehicle models. At least from comparing the distribution of the models amongst the dealer lots I have visited.

It makes sense. I imagine most of the people buying the less enthusiast targeted SR5 and Limited models are not on the forum. The leather, chrome, and 3rd row seating appeal to a different segment. That said, I am chomping at the bit to put the TE exterior on my SR5 and eventually put an air lock rear diff. I could have saved some hassle by getting a TE, but repainting the whole body is a lot harder than just repainting bumper skins. Grr. Why didn't Toyota make a white TE?

I have a 2012 pearl white SR5, I think the TE would have looked great as white! If they had that as a color option that is the package that i would have got.

2011 SR5 Blizzard Pearl just hit 1,600 miles. Bought in February 2012. Love it.

Love it! Added Toytec ultimate lift, pro comp rims and bf goodrich T/As. Blacked out emblems, LED interior lights. Keeping nav and updating amps and adding DSP and new sub. This **** is addictive. Get compliments from friends all the time. Approached by strangers who want to get a 4runner or have one and want to customize. Lots of looks from people on the road. Crossover SUV types call the 4runner crude and unrefined. I agree! And that's what makes it special. It's a truck at heart. Leave the unibody junk to the soccer moms of the world.
