I just sold my 4th get 2 weeks ago and bought a new 5th gen!

Backing up to when I bought my 4th gen in 2010, I researched until my eyes fell out and finally bought a Hamilton Ultimate Cargo Liner.

It made it 9 years with my 90 lb German Shepherd (RIP Trindon), having tons of horse related items, moving my husband's large-scale sculptures and my now 1-year old Chocolate Lab, Atlas, without getting a scratch or tear on it. It's waterproof to and if you need to clean it, just vacuum the hair right up or wipe it down with your favorite cleaner. Not to mention, my '07 SE still looked brand new underneath the liner with no dirt of hair under it.

Fast forward to now, I ordered another one last week and I'm waiting on it to arrive for my '18 Off Road.

I also travel with the Kurgo First Aid Kit in the back, a collapsable water bowl, and a 32 oz. Camelbak with water, as well as his favorite cow femur or Benebone for long drives.

I will post pics once the liner arrives.

I think I will look into getting one once temps start to rise in early spring.

We have a similar haired dog to your Shepard, can you wash the liner, or how do you then get all the hair off the liner?
Also what options did you spring for on your new one, and about how much did it run you? Thanks!

That’s a good read, thanks. Is Maeve(how do you pronounce that) a purebred healer/cattle dog? Her face is nice and skinny, she’s a good looking dog. We had a blue growing up and my mom rescued 2 reds that are beef cakes! We all do the raw diet and have good results. I will look into one of those K9 trauma kits, that seems like a great thing to have; especially outdoors and remote, you never know what they could get into.

She is a Heeler / Border Collie mix as far as we know. We love her a lot! And she's really smart too! Smarter than I am most times... Ha, beef cake is such a great way to describe heelers sometime.

Definitely good to have the kit. Much better than needing it later!

The sensor is great! And has a great range too! As a bonus, I have one in the Dometic too... So I can keep an eye on my pooch and my brews

[MENTION=139892]FrenchToasty[/MENTION] you wipe it off if it's dirty, it is waterproof. Best of all you just vacuum up the hair, we have a Dyson cordless that's perfect for that.

I just picked up the last 2018 on the lot. TRD Off Road Premium, Nautical Blue, non-KDSS, but has all other features available and Predator Step bars came on it (I will probably change these later) 39k out of the door.

I did a private sale on my '07 SE and still got 12k for it, super happy with my decision, now I just have to save up for all of the mods I want to do with it.

I will post pics once I get the liner.

Canvasback. Makes vacuuming a lot easier. Not that there is any end of fur...or vacuuming... The fit and finish is awesome. Highly recommend them.

I have Treatadog.com cargo liner that I picked up on a Christmas special for like $40. Works great and quality is very good. Might be worth checking out as they have been still running specials. I also use custom Ainley kennel. Have a drawer box that goes under it when I was doing hunt tests regularly.

I got my liner today!!! :reddance:

The liner has velcro on the back so it sticks to the back of the seats and cargo tray with no issue. You can use this liner with or without the cargo tray.

I added the supplied velcro in 3 places to the plastic part of the cargo tray so it will stay in place and I can still easily use the tray if I need to.

Did you not have or like the rear side flaps on your other liner? If I end up getting one I think I would want the side flaps for more protection in the back. Looks good, I like it!

Looks like this thread sprung back to life a bit so I'll share the one accessory I use all the time:

MIL-SPEC Dog Leash with Seatbelt Snap in Retainer – Raingler

I got it a little over a year ago when we got a rescue Redbone hound. She rides shotgun so I keep it clipped into the seat belt retainer and clip the other end to the harness. Handy to prevent the seat belt chime going off if you have a dog large enough to activate it, or luckily not in my case, a dog that won't sit still or would try to run off.

That Swedish cage above looks great if you have a K9/S&R dog or something. Looks like one of those mando cages you have to have made if the military ships your large dog from overseas.

Raingler net helps keep our dog in the back, as she's inclined to try to climb over the back seat without it at times: 2010 - Newer Toyota 4Runner 5th Gen (N280) Behind Rear Seats To Floor Barrier Divider Net – Raingler

I like this idea. Ours Golden does the same thing and if we have our kids in the back seat she has been known to get them in their car seats. I need something like this net to keep her in the back. But damn, this thing is expensive for just a back net.

Anyone else seen something similar that works well for a back net?

I'm looking at their website now - can I ask what size you have?

This is the single max. Fits perfectly but note the Canadian TRD’s didn’t come with the sliding trays so this fitment is not based on that set up. I think you lose a few inches but don’t quote me.

I was on the fence but saw a video on what happens without a good restraint and went with this which is crash tested so hopefully never have to test that feature but it’s peace of mind.

I had the Raingler net for behind second row seats and it was great “ in theory “ but our dog was having none of that and was able to get into the front via the gaps at the side.
