Moisture and Mud in Turn Lenses

anybody got a clue on how to get it all out from the lense? it looks terrible and its only the left lense. i tried pulling the bulb out and see if i could get my fingers in there to clean it but it isn't possible.

try using a heat gun around the edges to loosen the seal then reseal with silicon. I did this on headlights haven't tried it on the corners so not sure if it will work the same. Ive opened headlights using a heat gun and the oven in the past.

do you think nightshades tint spray over them would hide the look and make the clears look better at the same time? i wouldn't put a heavy coat on just a little to hide the moister behind the lense.

I'm not sure what your main goal here is, if its better visibility or just to clean them up, but you can try nightshades and see what you think. There is a product called 'goo gone' that will take it back off if you decide you don't like it. My guess is that your still going to be able to see it and it will cast a shadow when your parking lights are on but I'm not sure to what degree. So test it out and see what happens.

i don't know why i didn't think about this earlier but you can get a set of clear corners off ebay for mega cheap and just seal them when you get them with silicon to ensure a water tight seal.

I would just try that nightshades. It's not like you can "try" it though. Once you put it on it's permanent, I think.

What if you took the light bulb out and put some water in there and swished it around? I don't remember if that would mess anything up.

I didn't think Goo Gone would take off paint, which is what I think this nightshades stuff is. Maybe some paint thinner.

even if it dosent work out good with nightsades i'll just buy some new ones for like 15 bucks on ebay lol.

i wanna black mine out as much as possible so its worth a try with the nightsades

quick tip with VHT, spray on both corners in light coats together until you get to the darkness you want. After you done, grab some clear coat from lowes or wherever and clear coat them, makes all the difference.

One other tip i have, at lowes you can get an attachment for spray paint cans that makes spraying evenly very easy and comfortable. Cost is about $4 or so:

thanks for the tips, now nightshades will still allow enough light to shine thru for my blinkers? i plan on upgrading the turn signals to some stronger LED bulbs to while i'm at is if that will help.
