Moisture in Headlight Bucket ??

What's up with this. Lots of moisture inside the light bucket. No power wash, deep puddles.....in fact, no rain in over two weeks.

Using a hairdryer to get it out. Any suggestions?

As in the headlight assembly? I think of the sheet metal plate where the headight and radiator supports attaches to when I see "headlight bucket".

It might be easier to remove to the headlights and empty the water out if it has become a fish bowl.

On my old car one of the parking lights would condense with a lot of water, beads all over the lense. I filled it with water and then drained it out to get water beads out.

no car washes?
when i bought my truck the dealer had pressure washed it and there was some moisture in it but it hasent come back. i live in the PNW and there is always rain and i havent been gentle when washing and its been fine.

did you replace a bulb lately?

Unless a seal has gone bad between the clear lense and the reflector or the assembly is cracked, I'd check the sockets to be sure the rubber (silicone?) seals are intact.

I changed out out my bulbs on a really humid day. Lots of mmoisture inside. I brought them inside and let them dry overnight, and then reset the bulbs inside, and dry ever since.

UPDATE

It has been a few days now, and all looks okay. I am quite nervous about it as I have to have to buy another one.

ALLEGRO,

Your 4Runner is extremely new. I too have a 2007 & I roll around water all the time. Anywho...If you have a garage, I would take the headlight assembly off the vehicle, take them apart, dry it & re-seal them w/ silicone.

You'll be back to normal. in no time.

Eleven days now with no new moisutre. It has not rained a lot, so the jury is still out. But, so far, so good !

I have what appears to be dried condensation stains on the inside of both headlights. '07 SR5. I will bring it to the dealers attention next time I am in for service. I assume they might replace them, if so I am worried about improper headlight alignment vs. factory.
