Moisture in headlight

I just upgraded from my stock bulbs to the sylvania silverstars. I hadn't had moisture get in before and now it does. Is it bad to have the moisture in the headlight? Should I try to dry it (somehow)? If it is problematic what can I do to eliminate the problem? I tried reapplying the rubber cover on the backside but the moisture hasn't left yet so I don't know if that is what the problem was. Also on a search I saw to clean the lens I have to bake the headlight assembly, is that the only way?

check the boot and make sure its sealing properly

you dont want water in there... its not dangerous but it could make the bulbs die sooner, etc.

I used a hairdryer once to get the moisture out of the lens before sealing it properly.

yes the moisture inside is dangerous but only to the bulb. it will greatly increase the possibility of the bulb bursting which will most likely happen very soon. I have also replaced my headlights with silverstars. moisture and scratches are supposed to be the greatest problems of the bulbs. I would, as well, suggest to dry it out with a hair dryer and spray a slight amount of silicone grease around the rubber seals. Once they are back in id keep an eye on them because the seals might need to be replaced if they are dry or cracked.

Thanks everyone. I dried it out and when I upgraded the bulbs I must of ripped the rubber cover when taking it off (interupting the seal). So I went to the dealership and I'm on my way.
