Molle Panels .. Like or dislike?

I am contemplating getting some molle panels for my rig. Rago Fab makes what looks to be some pretty nice ones. They are a little pricey tho.. Seams like a great way to save some space and organize a little bit. Anyone rocking these panels on their Runner? Also any DIYers out there make their own set up?

Personally I like the idea for the drivers side only, however for the prices being offered, no f'ing way.

Not trying to put anyone down, but at approx $150 per side, or the ungodly price of $350 a pair, I will go without.

Incredible but true: if you input "rago fabrication panel" into the search field you'll get information about Rago Fabrication panels

Absolutely! $150 for a custom fabricated CNC'd limited run part is crazy! You should be able to find the same thing at Dollar General for 99 cents.:toilet:

I like the idea, but visibility already sucks on the 4runner. So losing those windows is really tough especially when towing. Plus all that stuff will self destruct off roading or turn into missles. Again great idea, but not sure I like the reality of it.

I sense you jest.....

CNC machine work isn't rare, nor should the prices paid for it priced similar to ounces of gold. <s>Aluminum</s> Steel not that rare either, powder coating also not that rare.

I wouldn't buy one for 99 cents either.. Now a more reasonable price of say $50 - $75 a side, I would take a second look.

unless someone comes out with a better/cleaner/cheaper solution, there are only 2 players in the field, and they can charge whatever they want as long as there are buyers.

I personally do like them, and rock em in my 4runner.

I totally agree. Supply and demand. Right now I have to guess the supply is high and the demand pretty low........

I could be way off base, but I'm a cheap bastard.

exactly what it is, supply and demand!

I like em just not enough to cough up the amount of money they are asking.

Other way around. If you look at their thread they can't build them fast enough and there's like a 2 month lead time on them. Obviously Wal-Mart has the same thing though built by the millions in China. They're about $50 I think. Oh wait...maybe they don't.

you can see out of the drivers side rear window?

Then you should be able to see it out of your window and mirror, you shouldn't ever need the rear drivers side window

Yeah I would like to give them a try but just feel they are slightly over priced. My buddy runs a metal shop so I think I am going to go over there and try to fab my own. May be around $20 in metal. I will post some pics once I get over there and play around.
