Monroe Gas-Magnum Shocks?

Anyone used these for the rear of your lifted 4Runner? I have the OME 891's and thought since monroes are cheaper and still good quality that I could use the front '97 LC fj80 gas magnums.

Any thoughts on this route or experiences? Below is a link for more information on them.

I ordered a pair of rear LC shocks (gas-magnum) for my runner. They should be here any minute and I will be lifting my truck this weekend. Check my build thread for results.

But will they be too long for 891's I notice you're going with 9 wrap LC's. Then again one inch shouldn't make that much of a difference with a shock? Or could it?

And why a rear shock with front LC coils? Better travel/flex?

Well, I'm not too sure about OME stuff. I know their coils are short and just stiffer so that's what gives you a lift over stock is the stiffer spring rate. Compared to an LC shock which is much closer to my stock spring rate but just longer.
I chose to go with the rear LC shocks because I figure, Rear for a LC, works with the rear of my 4runner. The compressed and extended dimensions are a bit longer than the Bilstein rear shocks that Toytec sells so I'm sure it'll work. Also the mounting is the same as stock (Eye to stud) unlike with toytec, they use a eye to stud adapter. I heard many good things about those bilsteins for the rear though. Ask Steeze, he runs them on his 4runner

I'm not sure about OME 891's but The REAR LC gas-magnum shocks work GREAT with the front LC coils for the rear of our 4runners. Ride is very smooth and plush. Definitely recommend them for the price and quality so far!
