Moonroof sound

So I was driving my '04 SR5 today with the moonroof open.

I began to slow down from about 50 MPH and I suddenly heard what sounded like the moonroof motor whirring.

The manual mentions something about the deflector height changing per vehicle speed. Is that what I heard?

when you go over 50pmh it drops down a bit. when you slow down it goes up a bit. took my wife to help me figure that one out.
