The marketing genius is the guy from post #16 that doubled Pathfinder sales with the redesign.
Traded in my '16 for ...wait for it, a camry XLE. Now trying to sell my Eezi Awn RTT and Front Runner roof rack! I'm waiting for 6th gen!
but their sales numbers are hardly anything to brag about considering that both of toyota's midsize suv's (highlander and 4R) easily outsells their midsize offerings, mainly the pathfinder and murano.
they should have kept at least one midsize bof suv (either pathfinder or xterra) to compete with toyota, or at the very least designed it in such a way to give it a more masculine look. The armada is nice and all, but not too many people will shell out $50k for an suv.

I am curious what about the part-time 4WD is missing from the SR5. I have a 2016 SR5 and the only things I can tell that I am missing (from the drive line) compared to the Trail/Off-Road version is the Terrain Select, Crawl Control, and the rear locker. I may have a dial that feels like it controls the HVAC instead of an extra lever, but it does the same things in the end.
Am I missing something?

Looking at this, it isn't THAT bad. This rendition has too much metallic in it if I remember the cavalry color correctly. Also there was more grey in but still, this is a great attempt at it. Thanks for doing this for us. I have a Voodoo Blue FJ and never really liked the Cavalry Blue but this is kinda cool. It could have been the white roof as I blacked out my roof on the FJ.

Happy to help. I'm mostly just trying to warm myself up to the realities of not getting one in Cement. That couldn't have been closer to my ideal color scheme if I painted it myself.
Of course, my dealer hasn't given me the bad news yet, but I know it's coming.

The local dealer had one on the lot and I balked at paying MSRP (before I knew just how hard they were to get), and before I decided to suck it up because I liked it so much, it disappeared to a buyer 1500 miles away.
Now I've got a deposit and "order" in, but I am not putting much weight on it based on what I've read here... unless the person who deals with the allocations at my dealer can pull off a minor miracle.
Yeah, something close to this would be like my dream color. Just don't think I could swing the payment to upgrade from my current Trail.

before i sold my titan for a new F250 i was a die hard Nissan guy, rumor has it they might bring the Xterra back.
Nissan near me had a new 2015 xterra on the lot still lol. it looked like an 06 on the inside. Exterior styling is still cool on those tho imo. Also Nissan execs have stated the new redesigned Frontier is gonna be a traditional "real truck" so thats good they aren't gonna make it look like the Pathfinder....and new titan lololol.
