has anyone installed in a 2018+ ? The retrofit source website says they only for 2010-2017 and someone on there was saying 2018+ needs modifications...seems odd to me?

Are you talking the XB Fogs? If yes I just installed them on my '18 a few weeks ago. No hiccups with fitment. Look great and perform even better.

I installed my XB fogs using the old brackets as some people here stated it made for a better fit. I did not have any issues.

I have them in my 2017 but there's no difference between the 17's and 18's as far as fog light fitment. They pop right in no issues

Morimoto XB Fog Lights Installing on a 2016

Hello,

Tried searching for a similar thread that points to an installation of some sort but no luck.. Ive been reading that it fits perfectly 2017-2018.. I have a 2016 SR5 and would like to know what was done to have the perfect fitment.

Im in the middle of upgrading to the 2019 factory or getting this because its brighter..

Thank you in advance..

You literally unscrew the stock one, pop in the XB and screw it down. Super simple and straight forward

I also forgot to add, my install was using the stock fog light brackets onto the XB fogs. I've heard/read many frustrations about trying to use the ones they came with but have no first hand experience. Fyi mine is a sr5p.

So the existing brackets can be removed from the current fog lights? Sorry just asking.. thank you in advance..

Also where did you remove the bracket from? Im looking at an image of a 2016 fogs in ebay and dont see any brackets?

It doesn't align 100% and have to slightly modify it to fit.. This is basing it on the video ive seen in facebook.

I didn't have to modify anything, I slid the bracket that doesn't screw down under where the stock one came out of and then screwed down with the stock screw holes and it aligned perfectly

Did ya remove your bumper?

Nope, the shield on the passenger side can be a PITA but i was able to get it off and reinstalled without bumper removal. I watched this video first but had a decent idea how the fogs were on there as I've had the bumper off before. YouTube

I just removed the bolts on the fender liner and pushed it out of the way to get at the fogs. All in all I think the install was probably 40 minutes. And that's outside in my driveway in 20* weather.

Yes the stock fog lights have the bracket, it can be separated and installed on the new ones. Its the piece you use to aim the headlight. It may not be needed though as some say they didn't have any issues. I've read hit or miss if people do. I'd say just go for it and just try it. Install is simple just a couple screws holding it on.

I did, yes. It made everything easier for me testing the wires and such

So tell him how bright is the damn things? Versus the led oem they have for 19..

I cannot seem to remove the plastic adjustment screw from the OEM housing to separate it and transfer to the Morimoto.

Any tips on how the screw comes out?
