Dude, the 3.8L supercharged they put in the Grand National... Talk about some major balls. I've met guys who have put them in jeeps, a ranger, and an s-10, and they push anywhere from 250-600 hp. The s-10 is 620hp but it's twin turbo'd with 18" slicks in the back haha. People like them because of their size.
I just picked up a 7m look like its gona be a super easy swap only part that sucks is finding the cressida parts.
I like my 22re, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I dream of a little more horsepower. Go for the 3.4 and don't look back - it's as reliable as the 22re, it's a well documented swap, and performance mods abound.
Buy that $2000 3rd gen in the classifieds right now - keep the elocker axle and the motor and trans parts you need for the swap, part out the rest to defray your costs.
Sweet! You just gave me a reason to hate you!![]()
I bought that one. You know, because I need another one. LOL
All kidding aside though, depending on what this thing looks like when I get it home, it's very possible that the 3.4 and 5 speed from it may end up in a 1st Gen and the eLocker in my '99 Sport. I've been wanting a 1st Gen for a long time, I've found a few decent candidates lately.

:jaw drop:
Did you say one thousand and four hundred? Because that looks like you just said one thousand and four hundred, and I know you didn't just say one thousand and four hundred, because one thousand and four hundred is a damned lot of horsepower.
