motor swap

I need to know what motor I can swap in on my '85 4runner with the stock 5 spd tranny? Right now I have the 22re motor with chunks of metal in my oil pan, no oil pressure and it likes to over heat. So I'm in need of either a master rebuild kit or a new used motor. What do you think guys??? Help a brother out

If you want something that bolts in directly, another 22R/RE/RET.
With some work you can swap in a Supra 7MGE. With more work a Chevy 4.3 V6, 350 V8, Buick 231 V6, ...
