All,

If you haven't tried this stuff you need to go out and try it right now! Its called MotorKote and you can buy it pretty much anywhere. Buddy of mine is a trucker and he swears by this stuff. He also said it lasts about 4 oil changes. I decided to give it a try. I bought some and put it in my 4runner and after about 30 miles of driving I noticed on idle that it hardly felt like my 4runner was even running. Engine seems to run alot smoother and be more responsive. Cost me about $15 bucks but its worth every penny! :wow:

im glad you found one that works for you, i know lots of people say additives are crap, but ive always used some form of them since i started driving, (STP was big back then) just in case theyre wrong. i have to check out the one you stated, but right now i use Z-MAX additives.

I'm always leery about adding ANY additives to my engine. Drygas and fuel injector cleaner through the fuel system is fine, but additives to the engine can cause a whole lot of other headaches. Paraffins, Chlorines, the ingredients in so many of these "slicker then oil" products can do more harm then good long term.

I'm a fan of regular changes with good oil and filters, period.

Just my 2cents

Agreed. There is no reason why you can't get 200k+ miles out of a 4R engine with routine oil changes and maintenance. Most here probably won't own their current 4R that long anyway.

Ill pass on any additives, not needed with even WM brand oil(which is made by Quaker State btw).

BITOG debunked it only 7 pages, thats quick work for those guys.
