Motorvac alternatives?

I've read in several threads that the Motorvac process is a good thing. Problem is I can't find anyone locally who has the machine. Does anyone know of any other similar machines? My local dealer has a thing called fuel injection system cleaning at $130. Is that the same thing?

Fuel Injector cleaning sends a detergent and sonic pulsing through the fuel system and get the injectors cleaned. The Motorvac process actually cleans the carbon deposits off of the pistons valves etc. Not sure if there is another competitor out there for Motorvac process.

Even though I have not done the Motorvac process yet, there is a thread around somewhere on how to locate a shop near you.
Turned out there are several near me.

when i found that link, they said $250, but it might depend on the shop too.

I checked those websites and no shops in SW Oregon, where I live. In fact, none at all in Oregon. And none closer than about 4 hrs in California. So I guess it would have to be a road trip unless there's some alternative process.

There is one in corvallis,Oregon Waucomah auto. They said it is 150.00

Thanks Kevin. That's the closest I've heard. 3 1/2 hrs instead of 5 1/2 hrs to Ukiah. Still hoping for something closer.

nice thread i've read that one before. if its in the 150 range when i call. its a def. to do for me.
