Mount Washington, New Hampshire trip Pics.

Hey there guys. Last weekend my family and i went up to New Hampshire for a wedding so we figured we would take the weekend to enjoy some of the natural sights in the good old granite state. Just some pics to share. Im not sure if any of you have drove the auto road up Mt Washington but its quite the escapade. With no guardrails it makes for a frightening climb .

Plus halfway up i had to stop because i could smell my tranny Poor 4R. Im not sure why it did that, no lights were triggered nor was my temp guage shooting up. Maybe because i had to drive up in LOW which i NEVER use? Anyways on with the pics!

BTW it was a 22 degree difference in temp from bottom to top! People were wearing t shirts at the base and gloves and hats up top!

Overall we had a great time! Thanks for looking everyone! Oh and no, I did not put that ugly sticker on my truck!

Oh thank God you didn't put that sticker on your bumper. The auto road is a neat attraction, but it isn't exactly a harrowing journey to be commemorated with a badge of honor...

I have climbed Washington several times, and the most depressing thing is when after 3-4 hours of hiking, finishing on the crappy rock field that leads to the summit, you come over the final crest only to realize you are in lower parking lot D, and you have to hike on the road up a bit further, go up a set of stairs, and tag the summit marker that is tucked away next to building 5. And all the while there are a bunch of idiots walking around in jeans and flip flops going on about how they can tell the air is thinner...

Almost as bad as hiking up from the north, and having a solid mile of following the tracks a couple hundred feet away, just far enough to hear the thing puttering along but not see it, and yet close enough to be choked by the cloud of smoke it produces...

You CO boys would laugh at the whole thing if you saw it. It is a little bit like Pike's peak, except the summit is the elevation of Golden.

NH does have some beautiful areas though. Great place for a wedding for sure. Where you from Shawn? Curious how for you had to drive to see it. There are some much better views up there, even within the Presi's.
